Usually, a case study tells about a vendor and a solution sold to a customer. This, however, is the story of an established partnership, seen from the perspective of the customer who chooses, invests and grows. This is the story of LASIT, a leading manufacturer of laser marking and engraving systems, which has chosen to further enhance the heart of its production: the machine shop.

This strategy accompanies an ambitious international growth plan, which in recent months has seen the opening of a new office in France, a second office in Germany, and two new offices in the United States. By 2026, four additional offices in the U.S., a new presidium in India, and two in China are planned, confirming a long-term vision to consolidate LASIT’s global leadership.

To support this expansion, it is essential to strengthen the company’s manufacturing core. The most recent confirmation of this vision is the acquisition of two new DNM 6700 vertical machining centers from DN Solutions, supplied by longtime partner Overmach.

Although our core business is ultra-high-precision laser automation, our strength lies in complete control of the production process, keeping all the real value-added in-house: software development, electronic and optical design, and of course the entire mechanical supply chain. We believe that in order to ensure the highest quality and flexibility for our customers, it is essential to produce almost every component in-house.

This is possible thanks to our plant in Torre Annunziata: a nearly 13,000-square-meter covered facility, as many as 2,000 of which are dedicated exclusively to the machine shop. This department is not a mere accessory, but the beating engine that allows us to transform ideas into reality, maintaining uncompromising quality standards. This is where our know-how takes shape, and this is where the choice of machinery becomes crucial.

The decision to continue investing in DN Solutions machinery, through Overmach’s advice and support, is no accident. It is the result of many years of experience that has proven the reliability, precision and performance of these machines.

The two new DNM 6700 machining centers add to an already impressive fleet, bringing the total number of DN Solutions machines in our workshop to 13. Our production department is complemented by another 10 high-tech machines in the carpentry and sheet metal working departments, and rigorous quality control guaranteed by state-of-the-art instruments such as CMMs, spectrophotometers and microscopy systems. This comprehensive equipment guarantees us autonomy, speed of prototyping, and an ability to push customization, which has always been our pride in the market.

Overmach supported LASIT from the investment planning stage, conducting an in-depth analysis of the production layout, precision requirements and operating flows. It selected the optimal configuration of machining centers for each specific requirement, and also provided training and ongoing support.
