In 2024, LASIT S.p.A. continued its path of growth, distinguishing itself through both technological advancements and the enhancement of corporate welfare. The company has been able to combine innovation in production processes with a growing focus on employees and the local area.
Technology research and development
Research and development work focused mainly on improving the confinement systems of the laser irradiation zone, optimizing the integration and ergonomics of the opening and closing devices. At the same time, LASIT worked on simplification, dimensional reduction and standardization of electrical panels and other components, making the systems more compact and easy to integrate.
Significant progress has been achieved in the development of vision systems that can access the field of view directly through the focusing optics, with the advantage of minimizing parallax errors, clutter and camera vulnerability.
The company has also expanded its efforts in laser cleaning technology and plastic welding, strengthening its position in these areas through targeted investments. LASIT has invested in new technologies, including femtosecond lasers and advanced instruments such as spectrophotometers, to further increase the output and quality of its products.
With these initiatives, LASIT continues to consolidate its position as an all-around technological reference in the industry, combining thirty-five years of experience in integration and automation with the introduction of new industrial processes, benefiting both incumbent and new customers.
Corporate welfare and sustainability
During 2024, LASIT S.p.A. resolutely continued on its path of improving corporate well-being, consolidating the projects initiated in previous years. The relaxation area with library, board games, puzzles and musical instruments continues to be a key meeting point for employees and visitors. The company gym, which can be used during lunch breaks or after working hours, has been upgraded with new equipment to promote physical and mental well-being. The cafeteria area, completed the previous year, is confirmed as a sharing space appreciated by all staff.
These initiatives were complemented by major infrastructure investments:
- The installation of air conditioning systems in all production areas to ensure maximum comfort for workers throughout the year
- The installation of solar panels on factory roofs to reduce environmental impact and increase energy sustainability
- The design of parking lots equipped with photovoltaic shelters that combine functionality and clean energy production
- The project for the complete renovation of Plant A, the oldest structure, to improve its energy performance and overall livability.
Social and territorial commitment
LASIT S.p.A. has strengthened its ties with the community through several initiatives. The company donated a marker to the Academy Foundation of Novara, an institution that provides excellence training for the advanced mechanics supply chain with a school-factory model, thus helping to bridge the gap between skills required by companies and training offerings in the area.
The company has also become a sponsor of the Fulgor Basket youth team, a historic sports entity founded in 1901 in Omegna that boasts an important path in Italian basketball, contributing to the growth and development of young sports talent in the area.
