3D Laser Engraving

Engraving is a contactless and wear-free process for removing layers of material. Laser engraving is the only technique where no tool physically touches the object to be engraved. The laser beam, in fact, heats the material until it vaporizes. The laser parameter settings and vision systems used by LASIT allow us to meet a wide range of industrial engraving needs.

Deep Engraving

Deep engraving removes material from the object’s surface to a precisely defined depth, creating a visible and tangible mark. The laser beam melts the material, which vaporizes and is expelled. The combination of cutting-edge laser technology and ACSYS AC-LASER software ensures high-precision deep engravings.

2.5D and 3D Engraving

As with deep engraving, in 2.5D and 3D engraving, material is removed from the surface in depth. The difference lies in the software-controlled removal at variable depths, gradually revealing the desired structure. This allows for the production of both predefined flange angles for embossing dies and complex three-dimensional surface structures, for example in mold production.

Micro-engraving

Smaller, more precise, and practically forgery-proof: micro-engraving can produce intricate structures and three-dimensional geometries in micro format. ACSYS uses state-of-the-art femtosecond lasers, which remove less than 1 μm of material per laser pulse, allowing engravings with extremely fine depth resolution. This process is used, for example, in the production of embossing stamps, quality seals for authentication, and in the jewelry industry.

Advanced Marking Techniques

Wrapping, Projection, and Examples of 3D Markings

At LASIT, we have perfected methodologies that allow us to perform markings or engravings on complex surfaces with exceptional geometric precision. Beyond simple two-dimensional projection, we can adapt any flat graphic to any three-dimensional shape. This allows us to achieve results that are geometrically faithful to the original design, eliminating geometric distortions in markings and engravings. These complex markings and engravings are made possible by the combination of two innovative technologies:

3D Wrapping

Allows us to create geometrically flawless three-dimensional markings.

Dynamic Z

Maintains optimal focus on every point of the treated surface.

The synergy of these technologies allows us to precisely adapt markings to curved or irregular surfaces, maintaining the sharpness and accuracy of the original design.

This advanced approach finds application in various sectors, from customizing luxury products to marking complex industrial components, offering new possibilities for design and functionality.

Below, we present some concrete examples of 3D markings created with these techniques, illustrating the potential and versatility of this innovative approach.
