Manufacturers of taps, fittings and other sanitary components were among the first to use lasers marking and engraving for their logos and names.
They were the first to recognize the great quality of laser marking and its long-term durability.
The long history of laser marking in this sector has led to extensive studies and research aimed at improving efficiency and performance.
We are, of course, talking about aesthetic laser marking. Laser suppliers must provide a high-performance product. The beauty and sharp image that is a result are a priority.
Laser marked logos and designs must be clearly visible and indelible, and they must maintain their definition and beauty over time.

Laser marker suppliers must also consider another important factor: system productivity. Our customers often need to laser mark a large number of components per day. This goes hand in hand with the need to optimize the laser marking operator’s time.
Aesthetic laser marking
For an aesthetically better result it is necessary both to be able to obtain a rich chromatic scale, and to avoid removing the layer of chrome plating (or painting) that covers the components.
The solution in both cases is a laser with very short pulses, which does not stay on the surface of the material for too long.
The MOPA laser, with a duration that goes down to 4 ns, is the ideal technology for the required toning process. Its power naturally varies according to the productivity required by the laser marker.
The MOPA laser marker
Laser pulses are usually fixed: a standard fiber laser has a pulse duration of about 120 ns, with a pulse frequency of between 20 and 100 kHz.
With the MOPA laser, the pulse duration is variable and can be set between 4 and 200 ns, with a frequency ranging from 20 kHz to 1 MHz. The short pulse is particularly useful for laser marking on plastics because avoiding direct contact means the material will not burn.

Laser marking with the MOPA laser offers all the benefits of the traditional Fiber laser, as well as additional advantages for the taps and fittings sector.
- Colored markings
- High contrast black markings
- Less corrosion of the material (heat exposure is reduced)
- Fewer burns around the marking and a more defined design
Laser marking system productivity
Our Rotomark rotary table markers are the best-selling laser markers in this sector. The rapid marking and machining time allow the operator to use all the cycle times, without any marking interruptions.
LASIT is an expert in mechanical automation. Our mission is to find turnkey solutions that best suit each customer’s needs. That is why we have created a variety of laser marking systems to optimize production and times.

Rotomark is equipped with a rotating table which has from 2 to 8 workstations. This allows you to load a new component while another component is being marked.
The Rotomark structure consists of welded, stretched, and milled steel, guaranteeing stability and precision. The machine is one of our strongest lines.
The table’s rotation speed also benefits productivity. With Rotomark there is no time wasted, and the laser marking cycle fully exploits the system’s potential.
Laser marking system versatility
Towermark line offers the best solution.

Towermark is available in both the Z-axis only version, and the X-axis version for those who need to mark components of different shapes and sizes. This laser marker can integrate all accessories and is the best-selling product for most of LASIT’s client companies. It is reliable, stable, and safe. But above all, it offers remarkable versatility in changing and implementing the system where production increases, or new components are introduced into orders.
